Going Self Hosted & New Branding

Welcome to the new home of my blog and my shiny new branding. Consider this as a little signpost to my new space for blogging and sharing all my news. Feel free to bookmark the page until you get used to the name and the new web address. I don’t want to miss out on having you pop round to visit for some virtual tea and cake.

New Branding

I’ve been planning to rebrand for a long time but was feeling indecisive about the direction that I wanted to take my graphics in. I decided on this new theme when I was mulling it over while looking out of the window. It dawned on me that when I am feeling indecisive or in need of inspiration I gaze out of the window at the clouds. I don’t always get to see a rainbow but I have taken many photographs of the rainbows that I do see when troubleshooting.

New Content

You can expect to see similar content – tea and cake will still feature heavily as will some of the fabulous events and workshops that I’ve attended recently. I will also be introducing some new content too like guest posts, lots of new products and some design guides to help you get to grips with your own design projects.

I want to start sharing my favourite fonts with you and some of the best uses of the font families. I may even show you the only acceptable way to use the font ‘Comic Sans’ but only if you promise to come back.

How Did I Get Here?

This transition would only have been possible with the help of Laura from Blogger2wp as she made what seemed like an uphill climb turn out to be a walk in the park. She gave me a step-by-step guide on what I needed to do and then once I had pondered, planned and was ready – was really efficient and super helpful. I cannot recommend her services enough and am in love with my new template from Pipdig.  It has so many customisation options that it’s possible to really make it your own.

Are there any new areas you’d like me to write about? I may be able to work them into one of my upcoming features?
